Goblet 14-25 • Brynhildr • Crystal DC
⸻⸻
At its heart, The Dawnwell is a temple above and a men’s bathhouse below, a space where both devotion and brotherhood are honoured as sacred. Yet all who enter in respect are welcome to share in its calm - to rest, to reflect, to breathe.

Immersive roleplay
what shall we craft together?
This is a heavy-RP venue aimed at serious roleplay, with characters who generally fit within the setting of FFXIV. This is meant to be an immersive space for roleplay, rather than an OOC party venue. Please be in-character at all times while inside the venue - if you're disruptive we'll remove you.
NSFW Content
where art thou, boundaries?
While this venue is very much focused on a physical and at times sensual form of spirituality, this is not an ERP venue. Please refrain from getting sexual with your roleplay, for the comfort of everyone in attendance.
Consent is king
no exceptions.
This should go without saying, but please ensure you have clear, communicated consent before interacting with other characters in a physical manner. This is a venue where nudity and physical contact are both regular things - but neither are an invitation on their own.
No Lalafell
please worship elsewhere.
Lalafell characters are not permitted in the venue, due to its clothing-optional nature. This is for the comfort of everyone in attendance - please don't take it personally. There are no exceptions to this rule, and it's non-negotiable.
Use of the venue
visitng unsupervised
The space is open to be used by the community at all times, with housing NPCs manning the various stations within the venue. Please use it respectfully and adhere to the other rules, or it may end up being locked outside of specific opening times.
Respect Everyone
make the space comfortable for all.
This should also go without saying, but there is a zero tolerance policy towards any discrimination, harassment or abusive behaviour in this space. This includes (but is not limited to) racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc. Please respect this rule or you will be barred from the venue without warning.

Syncshell Rules
1. This should go without saying, but there will be zero tolerance when it comes to any disgusting practices. No underage, harmful or otherwise illegal (you know what I mean) content in the syncshell or you will be banned immediately. This does also cover Lalafell NSFW - there should be none of it and I am unwilling to budge on this so please don't be surprised if you get hit with a ban.
2. Be mindful of your mod sizes and their impact on other people in the shell. Nobody needs to see your 30,000 poly nipples if it causes other people in the shell to crash.
3. Stay immersive to (a degree) in the venue. This isn't the place for your meme vfx emotes or fortnite dances. Please also keep your character to reasonable proportions - you shouldn't be bringing your 40-foot OC in here at the expense of everyone else's roleplay/immersion.
4. Be mindful that if you're still active in the sync once you leave, you may run into people in other areas still synced. If you're disruptive or anything in Rule #1 then you'll be removed, even if it happens away from the venue.
Proprietors 🙜
Zindelo Suryavah
⸻ Owner

Zindelo is a monk who spent a decade training in a remote monastery in Thavnair. Following his relocation to Eorzea, he missed having a dedicated space for devout prayer, sacred movement and celebrated brotherhood. Henceforth, he established The Dawnwell as just that - temple and bathhouse as two sides of the same coin.Zindelo is dripping with the quiet confidence of a veteran fighter, and the unbridled joy of a man who has clawed his way out from the darkest depths to step into the dawn.
Rohan Kanbhru
⸻ Owner

Rohan is a duelist, a former wanderer that has only recently begun to settle down after over a decade on the road. Born and raised in Thavnair, his travails have left him with an insatiable sense of curiosity; it was that selfsame thirst for wonder that led him to Zindelo's venue, a place to reacquaint himself with his homeland's culture as well as those from all across the star.Companionable, earnest and easy-going, he places his skills at the service of any and all that seek respite within the Dawnwell.
August Valerian
⸻ Landlord and general nuisance

August met Zindelo through their work with the silent grove, a clandestine organisation committed to aiding the oppressed across the land. August, however, is less a virtuous soul and more an opportunist in it for the gil.August came into possession of the land the temple is built upon through his father, a sharlayan forum member and respected academic. What better way to piss off daddy than repurpose his holiday home for holy hippies? August has little interest in the Dawnwell's more noble purpose, instead opting to treat it like his personal resort when he visits.

The Temple & Library 🙜

• In the upper level of the Dawnwell, one can find the temple proper. While the brothers here follow the Manusya of thavnair, any are welcome to use this space for their own spiritual or religious practices.

• Tucked away in the upper floor is the temple library. Books and scrolls of many different origins line the shelves, and a complimentary selection of fruit is heaped upon the gold trays above the seats. Here, a wanderer may relax or perhaps even socialize.
• The main feature of the temple is the altar itself - a space for prayer and reflection. Upon the altar rests a statue of an unknown Manusya who represents generosity and sanctuary, fitting for a temple who welcomes any and all as brothers.
The Dawnwell Bar & Bathhouse 🙜

• As you enter the temple, the bar and bathhouse greets you. Feel free to disrobe in the changing room tucked under the stairs, and unwind at the bar with a selection of drinks and snacks below. Brother Kasuo, the grumpy raen of few words, is a master barman who can whip up almost anything you like.
• At each side of the bar lay the baths, warm and welcoming. Illuminated from above by a system of crystals charged with sunlight, the waters are known for being particularly rejuvenating and healing to those who require it.

The Lower Floor - The Kalari 🙜
• As you descend to the lower level, a changing room awaits. Here you can leave your belongings, and either take a left to the hannish sauna, or descend further kalari proper.

• The Hannish sauna lies up on the raised landing, closed off from the main baths to allow people to sweat out their stresses. Fed by a log fire that heats a stone-filled pool below the planks, steam rises up through the floor to provide an even, comfortable heat.

• The Kalari is the traditional training arena for followers of the path Zindelo walks. With a packed dirt floor sunk into the ground, this is the place that men become warriors. Looking to train? Invite one of your fellow patrons or ask one of the temple brothers.
• Aside from the Kalari, other training equipment is available for use down on the basement level. A monk must hone many skills, after all, and a variety of methods are encouraged.
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
• Freeform RP is always going to be preferred, however if you both want to use the same rolls system then that's fine.
• Aim to strike, not to maim or cause injury.
• If you have people waiting to use the space, please be considerate and try to limit your spars to a maximum of 30 minutes. If you're the only people using the sparring area, take your time.
• All combatants must wear at least underwear - no graphic depictions of characters rubbing up on each other while wrestling, please.
• Wrestling, hand-to-hand or combat with practice weapons (often wooden) is allowed. Use of magic/aetheric abilities, firearms, or bladed weapons etc is prohibited.
• To the right of the sauna are the massage tables. An important part of both martial arts and strength training is the recovery and maintenance of the body, and that's no different at the Dawnwell. The tables are fully stocked with the temple's oils and lotions, and are available for use at any time. Coming alone? Ask a member of staff to arrange a session.
